Green Thumb Guide
A little less light and the plant grows a bigger leaf to catch more light. Plant in enriched soil with good drainage. Keep soil moist but not soggy. If kept too wet roots will rot. Check soil once or twice a week to establish watering frequency. Use potting soil when repotting. Fertilize monthly with a balanced fertilizer such as Bonide 10-10-10. Plants can go dormant, or partially dormant, during winter months, even inside. Cooler temperatures and shorter days will trigger the plant to reduce foliage.
