🌿 Aglaonema
Common Name: Chinese Evergreen
Origin: Native to tropical and subtropical Asia and New Guinea

Aglaonema, or Chinese Evergreen, is a beloved houseplant known for its lush, patterned foliage in shades of green, silver, red, pink, and even cream. With its broad, glossy leaves and bushy shape, it brings instant tropical vibes to any indoor space.

This low-maintenance beauty is perfect for beginners and experienced plant parents alike. It thrives in low to bright indirect light and can tolerate a bit of neglect, making it ideal for homes and offices.

As a bonus, Aglaonema is recognized for its air-purifying qualities, helping to cleanse indoor air and promote a healthier environment.

🌱 Care Tips:

Light:
Grows well in low to medium indirect light, though brighter light can bring out more vivid colors in variegated varieties. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.

Water:
Water when the top 2–3 cm (1 inch) of soil feels dry. Aglaonema prefers slightly moist soil but can tolerate occasional drying out better than overwatering.

Humidity:
Enjoys moderate to high humidity but tolerates average indoor levels. Misting or a pebble tray can help in drier conditions.

Temperature:
Ideal range is 18°C to 27°C (65°F to 80°F). Keep away from cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.

Soil:
Use a well-draining potting mix, ideally one with perlite or orchid bark to keep it airy and light.

Fertiliser:
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted liquid fertiliser. No need to fertilise in winter.

Pet Friendly:
⚠️ No – Aglaonema is toxic to pets if ingested, so keep it away from curious cats and dogs.

Engaging and Educational! Perfect for Little Astronomers! 🌟
Format: Board book
"8 Little Planets" is an absolute delight for young readers and their parents alike! As a parent of a toddler who is just starting to explore the wonders of space, I found this book to be a fantastic introduction to the solar system. The colorful illustrations are vibrant and captivating, immediately drawing in little ones' attention. The rhyming text is fun and easy to read aloud, making it a joy to share this book during storytime. What I love most about "8 Little Planets" is how it manages to make learning about the planets so engaging. Each planet is given its moment to shine with a little story that is both informative and age-appropriate. The book also subtly incorporates the latest astronomical knowledge, like the reclassification of Pluto, which is a great touch. It's clear that this book was created with care and attention to detail, and it's become a favorite in our home. Whether you're raising a future astronaut or just looking for a fun way to introduce your child to science, "8 Little Planets" is a stellar choice!

Solar system board book:EXCELLENT, INFORMATIONAL AND FUN
Format: Board book
My niece loved this book. As did I! I always found outer space fascinating, but have forgotten many facts from my youth. When I ordered it, read it through and was very happy about all the information packed I. Such a fun book. There is even an honorary mention of Pluto. Vibrant, fun, factual, EXCELLENT! she got a astronaut costume also, so now she’s got all the tools for her imaginary space travel.

Amazon should know how to deliver books without damaging.
Format: Board book, Format: Board book
This is a fantastic book and the back has fun facts, plus a dedication the minor planet Pluto that was not included. If you are Gen-x you know that acknowledging Pluto on the back just warms yor heart. Most of the science info is on the back cover. The board book focuses on naming the planets and the artistry. I think this is great and the extra facts on the back are better for older kids who might want to pretend they are too big for baby books. This is a really beautiful book, but there was damage. The lip is all suffered up and marred (2nd picture) and where you open the book (1st picture) there is already a wear crease. I blame the defects on Amazon, but a cellophane wrap might have helped prevent the damage
