Our light sparring jacket by Red Dragon is designed for HEMA practice and is ideally suited to the use of single-handed weapons such as rapier and sabre. It is constructed of heavy duty cotton and inner lining rated at 350 Newtons. Padding is focused to the front of the jacket and omitted from the rear and underarms to reduce weight and increase breathability. The sport-legal padded collar features a blade catcher to protect against stray thrusts under the bib. The back of the jacket features adjustable webbing which allows it to be cinched at the waist for a more streamlined fit.
