This listing is for one airplant vase.

The piece was hand made on the potters wheel by Lindsey from a raku clay with dots added to give the appearance of a sea urchin. After the initial firing, the piece was then raku fired with a white crackle glaze. This small vase stands just about 2.75-3” tall and is approx. 5” at its widest point.

Please note that there are a few available for sale- they are not identical to this photo, but are very similar. If you would like to see an image of the vase you will receive, please email me before purchase and I will send one off to you. 

The raku process leaves each piece with a unique surface. While the piece was red hot, it was removed from the kiln and placed in a combustion chamber with leaves, newsprint, hay and sawdust where it ignites. After 30-60 seconds, a lid is placed on the chamber where the flames are starved for oxygen. It is in this moment where the magic happens and the colors change leaving silver and black lines on the piece as carbon gets trapped on the surface as the glaze cools.

This vase will come with an airplant (it may differ from the one shown).

Great quality, easy to set up.

I actually have this in my bedroom, replaced a non acoustic panel with it. These make a huge difference. As someone who is always playing music on their speakers I don't want to bother my roommates too much. Easily can hear the difference once these were in place. The panel itself is high quality and thick, what's a really nice detail is how they are attached together, there are multiple wedges just like foam noise dampeners which is super cool! This thing is easy to move around and can be folded for storage with ease. You get extra screws just in case you lose any, the feet are made out of metal which adds to the quality. There was a very slight chemical smell when taking it out the box, however that went away in just a few hours. I can imagine using this in a noisy office, surrounding yourself with these in a cube shape will make all the difference to focus on your work. These panels are great and if you're looking for quality, I'd say you can pick these up without worry. No issues on my end!
