A brief about the NGO creating the planter :
This is part of the project 'Gift of Change', a project initiated by Paryavaran Mitra. Paryavaran Mitra is a humble endeavour to uplift the rag-picking women of our country in a holistic manner while focusing on their dignity and respect. Gift of Change is an idea of making products out of the recyclables they collect.
Currently 15 women from the same community have been trained into art based activities where-in they develop good artistic products out of the waste collected. They are not only learning new skills in their leisure time but it also serves as a skilled based alternate source of income for them.
