After soaking, plant the seeds in a pot with good soil. The soil should be moist but not wet. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil and press them lightly. Then you need to put the pot in a warm and bright place. You can use a heating mat or a sunny window sill.
After Germination Care
The seeds will take about 2 to 4 weeks to germinate. You will see small green shoots coming out of the soil. You need to water them regularly and keep them in a bright place. When they have 2 or 3 leaves, you can transplant them to a bigger pot or outside.
Japanese Red Spider Lily likes full sun and well-drained soil. It does not like frost or drought. Water it often and fertilize it once a month during the growing season. You can also mulch it with organic matter to keep the soil moist and cool.
Blooming Schedule
Japanese Red Spider Lily will bloom in late summer or early fall for about 2 weeks. The flowers are very fragrant and attract bees and butterflies. They are also very popular for cut flowers and arrangements. You can enjoy their beauty and scent in your home or garden.

A fun way to add a little light to my yard.

I hung it up on my outdoor storage shed and the grandkids love it. The color did fade from black to gray quickly, but it still looks nice. The light works almost all night and my yard is mostly partial shade so that amazing. I actually planned to paint it green anyway so I do have that advantage.
