Hypoestes Phyllostachya White Splash, or Splash Select White Polka Dot Plant, a flowering plant species of the Acanthaceae family, is a popular "gift plant" because it has beautiful pointed leaves that remain white with distinctive dark green dots and pink/purple flowers at the nodes.
Hypoestes White is a fast grower and can reach approximately 12” tall. This is an evergreen shrub.
Its lavender-colored flowers rise above the nodes, usually in the summer or early fall.

If grown outdoors, this plant prefers a partially shady spot. Bright, indirect light is ideal indoors, a perfect spot would be near an east- or south-facing window.
This plant needs moderate watering about once every 5-7 days. Overwatering can cause root rot. Only water when the top o.5 inch of soil has dried out. Slightly reduce watering in the winter.
Polka dot plants prefer organically rich soil with good drainage. An all-purpose organic potting mix is typically suitable for these plants. Mix in some pumice or perlite to improve soil drainage.
This plant thrives in temperatures of 65°F-80°F, which make it suitable for most home and office settings.
This plant should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.
Polka dot plant is considered non-toxic and safe to pets. -

Durable But Quirky Interactive Ball

I am 30 now and my tolerance for toys that break in 2 minutes is basically zero. I picked this up during a weekend DIY project when I was fixing the deck and needed something to keep the dog occupied. The E TPU material is straight up impressiveuch abuse it can take from a large breed. My dog tends to destroy generic store brand balls but this one survived being dropped down the stairs and tossed against the siding. It is comfortable enough to use daily without feeling like it is going to shatter or hurt the dog.
The internal compartment where you charge it is smart and those little pockets for the charging port are actually useful sized for my fat fingers. The smart movement is a game changer for keeping a high energy dog moving when I am busy with home improvement tasks. I was slightly worried about the 8 hour battery life but it holds a charge well enough for a few play sessions. My whole household uses this now to entertain the dog as he will not leave us alone otherwise. It works best on my kitchen tiles but it barely moves on the thick rug in the living room which is frustrating.
The vibration is loud enough to be annoying when I am trying to focus on work. It is a solid 3 star product as it does what it says but has some quirks that make it less than perfect. Spending 19.99 is fair for the durability you get compared to cheaper options. I like that it is USB rechargeable instead of eating through batteries. It is not perfect but it serves a purpose in my chaotic house.
