The History of Pineapple Express Seeds

There have been many unproven assertions made about the origins of Pineapple Express. Several breeders have claimed the original Pineapple Express, but the most likely creator is G13 Labs. Pineapple Express was created when G13 Labs crossed Trainwreck with a Hawaiian strain.

Pineapple Express Seeds' Genetic Journey

Comedian and actor Seth Rogen claims that the Pineapple Express variety didn't exist until the 2008 film of the same name. In response to the movie, growers independently developed a high-potency strain called "the dopest dope."

The hybrid quickly spread across California medical cannabis clinics when its purported creator, G13 Labs, selected Trainwreck and Hawaiian as parent genetics in the middle of the 2000s.

How to Germinate Pineapple Express Seeds

The best way to ensure a strong and healthy cannabis plant is to start well. There are several methods for germinating cannabis seeds despite their small size, fragility, and need for assistance. Different approaches achieve different success levels, each with its own set of pros and cons. It's worth noting that even if you're a master grower with state-of-the-art equipment, you could still have some unsuccessful seedlings. However, with an excellent germination method like the paper towel technique, your chances for success are significantly high. The following is a 9-step guide on growing your Pineapple Express seeds using paper towels:

  1. Spread some paper towels out on the dish first. You shouldn't go crazy with the paper towels, but having four layers to soak up more water is useful. You may need to fold or trim the paper towels to ensure everything on the plate fits. Remember, leaving a paper towel over the edge of the plates will help make them dry faster than you'd want.
  2. Label the paper towels if you're growing more than one strain in the same pot.
  3. Get some paper towels wet, and then spread your seeds on them. To avoid disturbing young plants, you could want to water them first. Similarly, maintain a level plate to prevent the seeds from rolling.
  4. Put one paper towel over the seeds. You may use a single sheet to check whether your Pineapple Express seeds have germinated without interrupting the growing process. If the top layer shows signs of drying up, you may need to add extra water.
  5. Put a second plate on top of the dish to seal the moisture.
  6. Connect the seed starting heat mat next. Setting the plates down on the mat is possible, but doing so might harm your tender weed seedlings. You can use a cloth or a book to keep the mat and the plate from touching. The plate may be heated by leaving some spacing between the heating pad and the plate, while the extra air space guarantees even heating. Remember, between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius (70 and 85 degrees F) is ideal for seed germination.
  7. Check on the seeds daily to ensure the paper towels aren't drying out. You may need to re-wet them now and again to prevent them from drying. It's usually easy to see whether your Pineapple Express seeds have sprouted without opening the container. Remove the top plate as often as you want to check on your seeds without worrying about losing them.
  8. You may lift the paper towel covering to check whether your seeds have sprouted.
  9. When the first leaves start appearing, usually after a day or two, you may transplant the seedlings to their growing medium.

Why are Feminized Seeds Better than Regs?

Feminized seeds might be preferable for gardeners who value efficiency and convenience since they enable you to germinate the number of plants you need at any moment. If you're using regs, you'll need to sow around twice as many seeds to ensure you have enough female plants left after harvesting the males.

Feminized plant types allow for more efficient use of growing areas and reduced consumption of inputs, including soil, fertilizer, pesticides, and more. Also, you don't have to worry about the potential catastrophe that might arise if you don't remove a male at the right time.

Growing Pineapple Express Seeds

Growing the Pineapple Express strain doesn't need you to be a weed-growing expert. Growing one of the highest-yielding seeds requires a rudimentary understanding of cultivation methods. These seeds are also resistant to mold and pests, making them all the more effective.

Should You Grow Pineapple Express Seeds Indoors or Outdoors?

Pineapple Express is adaptable to indoor and outdoor environments, although it thrives when provided with abundant light and warmth.

Growing Pineapple Express Seeds Indoors

Growing Pineapple Express seeds indoors requires height-reducing techniques, such as the FIM, topping, LST, ScrOG, and super cropping methods, and a minimum of a 600-watt high-intensity discharge (HID) light source.

Benefits

If you're growing Pineapple Express indoors, you'll be happy to know that it only takes 7 to 9 weeks from seed to harvest. It's also pretty resilient to pests and diseases, allowing you to maximize your yields significantly.

Are there any drawbacks to growing Pineapple Express seeds indoors?

The Pineapple Express strain grows significantly tall, which can be challenging to keep in shape.

Growing Pineapple Express Seeds Outdoors

Pineapple Express thrives in a tropical environment with plenty of sunlight, warm temperatures, and just the right amount of humidity. Pineapple Express enjoys a temperature between 74 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit with the ideal humidity at 40-50%. Remember that the bulk of Pineapple Express stems from landrace sativa, which implies plenty of sunlight and a comfortable temperature range. When growing outdoors, these seeds require a spot with enough direct sunlight and are not often shaded.

Pros

Growing outdoors has benefits since it allows your plant to grow significantly taller. It allows you to make the most of every plant, increasing the overall yields.

Cons

Pineapple Express crop branches are frail and may break in heavy winds. Outdoor growers should be cautious of strong winds.

The Best Grow Medium for Pineapple Express Seeds

You can grow Pineapple Express seeds in different mediums, including soil and hydroponics.

The Best Climate for Pineapple Express Seeds

The optimum conditions to cultivate Pineapple Express are in a Mediterranean environment.

Problems to Look Out For When Growing Pineapple Express Seeds

The seeds of the Pineapple Express are surprisingly resilient. However, watch out for nitrogen and calcium deficiency, especially during the vegetative and flowering stages. You also want to avoid overwatering your plants unnecessarily.

How Difficult Is It to Grow Pineapple Express Seeds?

Pineapple Express is a moderately difficult cultivar to cultivate.

Are Pineapple Express Seeds Suitable for Beginners?

Growing your own Pineapple Express marijuana at home is surprisingly simple, even for beginners. Growers in the Mediterranean and continental climatic zones are particularly fortunate.

How Much Do Pineapple Express Seeds Yield?

Pineapple Express seeds yield 18oz/ m2 indoors and 19oz/ plant outdoors.

How to Get Better Yields from Your Pineapple Express Seeds

If you want to maximize your Pineapple Express seeds' yields, consider some growing techniques. For instance, you want to employ FIM, topping, LST, and SCROG techniques when growing indoors. On the other hand, super cropping helps increase outdoor yields.

The Best Grow Techniques for Pineapple Express Seeds

The following are the top three growing techniques for your Pineapple Express plants to thrive:

Super Cropping

During super cropping, you bend the vegetative stems horizontally, exposing the lower buds to more lighting; this is a slightly more aggressive kind of plant training. It's possible to classify it as a kind of high-stress training.

It would help gently crush the plant stem to make it more flexible. Remember that you shouldn't attempt to shatter or snap the plant's outer tissue. You're squeezing the interior to simplify bending and tying it down. However, don't worry; the plant will regenerate lost tissue and resume its horizontal growth once it has stabilized.

SCROG

It would be best to place a screen directly over your crop to practice SCROG on your Pineapple Express plants. You then work to establish a uniform canopy so all bud locations get enough light and air by carefully weaving the stems through the screen as the plant develops. It promotes bud production and minimizes lateral growth, which helps when growing indoors.

Topping

Topping is a method used to cultivate vegetative plants in which the grower cuts off the very top of the main stem. If the plant grows like a Christmas tree with a single major cola at the top, apical dominance will eventually be broken. When you top your Pineapple Express plants, they produce two new stems instead of one. Pineapple Express seeds lead to significantly tall plants, so topping helps minimize their lateral growth, suiting indoor growing setups.

What does a Pineapple Express plant look like?

Pineapple Express seeds are one of the most visually appealing Sativa strains. When you look at the trichome-covered blossoms, you'll see that the pistils protrude from every millimeter. The calyxes pile together to form foxtail towers that are beautiful to look at. Pineapple Express flowers are long and narrow with a moderate density.

A must have for any Simpsons fan
Format: Paperback
For those of you who are fans of the hit television show "The Simpsons", you are probably well acquainted with the legendary "Treehouse of Horror" episodes that have become a Halloween tradition. These episodes have proven to be such a seasonal favorite that Groening and the gang have decided to dish out even more tales of terror in "Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror: Heebie-Jeebie Hullabaloo". Hullabaloo is a collection of comics and sketches that cleverly capture the humor and style of the Simpsons Halloween specials. Much like the television version, the main stories in Hullabaloo are parodies of famous horror films. The first story in the book is a parody of the classic horror film "The Blob". In the sketch, Simpsons character Sideshow Bob takes an experimental treatment that transforms him into "Sideshow Blob". Seizing the opportunity to take revenge on his nemesis Bart, Sideshow Blob squeezes out of prison and wreaks havoc on Springfield. After Springfield is saved from "Sideshow Blob", they barely have time to recover before Lisa becomes possessed by the evil spirit of Madonna in "The Exorsister", a combo-parody of the infamous "Exorcist" and the even more infamous Madonna. The book continues with additional parodies of films such as "Little Shop of Horrors", "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers", and "Cat People". In between the main features of the book are a plethora of comics, guides, and stories hosted by and featuring an assortment of Springfield characters. One of these guides features everyone's favorite slack-jawed yokel, Cletus Del Roy. Cletus presents to us "A Yokels Guide to Halloween" which teaches us how to celebrate Halloween like "Edgar Allan" Poe white trash. Another extra features Bart's "Guide to Low-Budget Costumes" which shows you how to cheaply transform yourself into horrid monsters such as "Vaselino, The Thing That Wouldn't Dry". You'll also find the story of "Elijah Dunn and the One-Armed Nun", Evil Dr. Burn's "Goodtime Servant Factory", "Springfield in Hell", and much, much more. Hullabaloo is colorful, fun, entertaining, and just in time for Halloween. The comical cast breathes sarcasm and humor into favorite horror classics. If you are a fan of the Simpsons and Halloween, then this book will not disappoint you.

Graphic Novel Review
Format: Paperback
I can say this comic is great though can't match the Simpsons TV show at least that is what I'm thinking. Still liked the stories has ones like Lisa getting possessed by Maddona and Sideshow Bob turning into a blob. Would recommend this to any Simpsons fan thought they could get a place in TV but that's jumping the gun.

My Review...
Format: Paperback
This is a great addition to the Simpsons' book family. It is just like the show, but you can spend as much time reading it as you want. I think this book is extermly fuuny. I have read pretty much every Simpsons' book and this is worth being next with them. I love how the Simpsons' comedy is different than other cartoons and even shows. The comedy is not always dark but it is not always light either. "Little Shop of Homers" was a great finisher. I wish it would of been longer, but it is OK. As with most people, one of my favorite parts in the Simpsons' comics are the in between things. For example, "Moe's Guide To Superstitions", "Bart Simpson-Master Of Disguise presents The Quick 'N' Easy, Low-Budget Do-It-Yourself Guide To COOL COSTUMES". Well, that is all I can really say. I suggest Simpson fans should read this. Keep them coming and I will keep reading.. Have A Nice LiFE! Ryan
