Gardener's Notes: Sow directly outdoors in very early spring in frost free areas or after the last frost in colder areas. Mix seed with sand or peat moss to help spread over area. Scatter as evenly as possible over loose, fertile, well-drained soil. This mix should cover 100 square feet; for denser planting, spread seed over a 75 sq. ft area. Rake seedbed to bury seed about 1/4 inch deep. Water gently but thoroughly and be careful to keep soil moist until seedlings are well established. Additional watering is recommended for continued sequential bloom, especially in hot summer areas.
