About Echeveria 'Candy Orange'

The Echeveria 'Candy Orange' is an exquisite Korean hybrid that stands out for its sophisticated color palette and ethereal finish. Its base color is a muted, refined gray-green, but it is most famous for its stunning "fairy" transformation. When the plant is "happily stressed" by bright sunlight or crisp evening temperatures, the leaves blush into a delicate fairy pink with soft orange undertones.

This variety is prized for its elegant farina—a natural, powdery wax coating that gives the plant a frosted, matte look while protecting its sensitive leaves from the sun. Because it is a rare hybrid, its growth remains compact and symmetrical, making it a true centerpiece for dedicated collectors.

How to Care for Echeveria 'Candy Orange'

Sun/Location: To maintain its tight rosette and bring out those signature fairy pink and orange tones, this variety needs 6-8 hours of bright, filtered light daily. A south-facing window or a bright patio with morning sun is ideal. The more light it receives (without scorching), the more intense its stress colors will become.

Soil/Pot: Excellent drainage is the secret to success with rare hybrids. Use a highly porous, gritty succulent mix (we recommend 60-70% pumice, perlite, or coarse sand). To protect its delicate root system and the beautiful farina coating, an unglazed terracotta or ceramic pot with a drainage hole is highly recommended.

Watering: This variety prefers a strict "soak and dry" routine. Water thoroughly only when the soil has dried out completely. We suggest bottom watering or using a long-neck watering can to avoid getting water on the leaves, as moisture can mar the elegant farina and lead to crown rot.

No casebook connect
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
I ordered a new print version of the textbook to specifically receive the casebook connect code. The book also came wrapped, but when I undid the wrapping and opened the textbook, there was no code. It looks like somebody peeled the code information away as the cover has some yellowing, which I imagine is due to glue residue. I’m incredibly disappointed and now I need to purchase the code in addition to the $220 I spent on this textbook.

Readable
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
Not at all what I would consider “Very Good” condition, as the book was described. Pretty disappointed to be honest, considering I paid over $100 for this. It’s beaten up, torn, and dirty, but it’s readable.
