Fought for the past 10 years for the enforcement of combined competitive examination for school teachers recruitment, as a President. Has been Science text book committee member for 8th standard. Has organised many science popularization and environmental activities in Hyderabad- Karnataka region.

Participated in children's science conference, science quiz, student-scientist interaction program, youth scientist competition and many other academic and scientific activities.
Successfully served as Secretary of Chitradurga KRVP District Committee for 9 years. Participated in over 100 different activities and interactive programs on Chitradurga All India Radio. Serves as a columnist by writing articles about the astronomical column in the "Antariksha Koutuka" column in the state-level "Companion" which is coming out for students from the magazine in 2016.

He started his extra-curricular activities as Chief Editor of a weekly called “Campus Mirror” daily student life and continued to become secretary of sub-regional science centre of Chikkamagaluru. Is serving as a Hon. President of Chikkamagaluru Dist Science Centre since last 15 years.
He has also served as Board Chairman of Jungle Lodges and retreats commission of Govt. of Karnataka.
He has participated as a member of a committee formed for Indo-China relations improvements.
He has successfully organised state level children science congress in 2006.

In one of the leading local news papers of Tumkur called praja pragathi he has written 50 small stories every Sunday under the head “KANAJA”. He is the managing trustee of “NANDANAVANA CHARITABLE TRUST” which is engaged in various charitable activities. On 1st of every year he is celebrating NEW YEAR with his family and friends at Siddaganga Mutt with blind and dumb and Duff children offering Holige Meal for about 200 students since 16 years. He has prepared a C.D. for blind students from which they can know the day of the Week for 6000 years. He has given live telecast in public T.V. under BELAGU programme. This can be viewd in U Tube “Shivakumar walking calendar”. He has given number of programmes in Siddartha Radio, Tumkur.
He has given lectures about his Kanaja stories, his World Record Calendar and Memory Technic at Newjercy, Newyark and Atlanta in America during his visit to America.
AWARDS / Honours : On the day of Basava jayanthi he was awarded “Basava Award” and on Sarvagna Jayanthi he was awarded “Sarvagna Award” from Govt. of Karnataka.
Now he is working as President Tumkur District Committee of Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishath.
